What kind of idiot do you have to be to want to appoint a pro abortion person as US Ambassador to the Vatican. The Vatican of all places.

Vatican sources told Il Giornale that their support for abortion disqualified Ms Kennedy and other Roman Catholics President Barack Obama had been seeking to appoint.

Mr Obama was reportedly seeking to reward John F Kennedy’s daughter, who publicly gave her support to his election bid. She had been poised to replace Hillary Clinton as New York senator, but dropped out amid criticism that she lacked enough experience for the job.

The Italian paper said that the Vatican strongly disapproved of Mr Obama’s support for abortion and stem cell research. The impasse over the ambassadorial appointment threatens to cloud his meeting with the Pope during a G8 summit in Itay in July.

What the hell was Obama thinking? Seriously, what kind of moron would think this would be OK with the Vatican?

No kidding. Who the hell is Congress to say that they can retro tax these people? They are all pissed of because AIG is honoring their contract with their employees and yet they waste hundreds billions of dollars of our money on their shit pet projects?

I can understand a little bit how people get upset they the execs are getting their money when the company needed a bailout. However, like the idiots that the public usually are, they fail to see that a) AIG made those obligations before receiving money and b) the administration knew about it.

I wish I was one of these execs. I would get in front of congress and them what fucking hypocrites they are and if they want to take my money away they should give up everything they’ve received from AIG (hello Chris Dodd and Obama), stop making deals they then turn around and renege on.

“With that comes an unprecedented obligation to do so wisely, free from politics and personal agendas,” the president said. “On this I will not compromise or tolerate any shortcut.”

Free from politics and personal agendas? Really? Like that 8 billion Reid Railroad? or the 30 million mouse for Pelosi?

“If a federal agency proposes a project that will waste that money, I will not hesitate to call them out on it, and put a stop to it,” Obama said.

This is truly scary and if it is true, could drastically change this country for a very long time. The following is a transcript from a Chicago democrat that was told what this stimulus package is really for. Read and weep.

In another move to give kickbacks to his union supporters, Obama signed legislation that says that only union-based companies can big on government projects. This move negatively affects 25,000 companies. So much so that The Association of Building Contractors has condemned the executive order.

Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) today denounced an Executive Order signed by President Obama that repeals Executive Order 13202, that prohibited federal agencies and recipients of federal funding from requiring contractors to sign union-only project labor agreements (PLAs) as a condition of performing work on federal and federally funded construction projects.

“Today’s decision to repeal Executive Order 13202 opens the door to waste and discrimination in federal and federally funded construction contracts,” said ABC President and CEO Kirk Pickerel. “This action removes the safeguards that prohibited discrimination based upon union affiliation in the awarding of federal contracts.

“Construction contracts subject to union-only PLAs are designed to be awarded exclusively to unionized contractors and their all-union workforces,” said Pickerel. “Absent the economic benefits of competitive bidding, union-only PLAs are known to increase construction costs between 10 percent and 20 percent and discriminate against minorities, women and qualified construction workers who have traditionally been excluded from union membership.

“Union-only PLAs drive up costs for American taxpayers while unfairly discriminating against 84 percent of U.S. construction workers who choose not to join a labor union,” added Pickerel. “All taxpayers should have the opportunity to compete fairly on any project funded by the federal government.”

Way to go. In a time of huge unemployment, let’s eliminate the possibility of putting some people to work. Combined with their so called “free choice act”, then unions will become the man behind the curtain running this country.

A contradiction? Not really. You see I want Obama to fail on a few certain items. National health care for example. Those kinds of social programs are the kinds of things that we can’t get rid of once in place. The disasters that are Social Security, Medicaid, Medicare, etc. are absolute failures yet we cannot get rid of them.

However I want him to succeed in his disastrous plans for raising taxes, spending uncontrollably, etc. Why? Because in doing so I hope that the American people will see what a failure the Democrat philosophy is. Tax everybody and everything, spend every one else’s money and drive our country into the ground.

The beauty is that if he succeeds in doing these things, he will ultimately fail. Fail in getting a second term. Fail his party (much like George Bush has in many ways) and people will wake up from the euphoria they are currently in over him.

The one area in which I truly wish him to succeed is in keeping this country safe. But somehow I don’t see that happening. He won’t be able to keep Iran from getting a nuclear weapon. He won’t be able to stop Russia from exerting their influence, and already radical muslims around the world are hating on him. His soft stance on terrorists will only make things worse.

Top that off with bringing someone like Janet Napolitano, who is known for being soft on security, in to run Homeland Security, someone like Leon Panetta to head CIA with no intelligence experience at all and what do you have? A disaster in the making.

So with a few exceptions, I hope he does succeed. The only problem with that is it will make the next president’s job even more difficult than this one.

By being the first president in 56 years to blow off the “Salute to Heroes Inaugural Ball”, which honors recipients of the Congressional Medal of Honor. Of all the balls he attended, you would think he would have enough class to honor the military. After all, he is the commander in chief now.

Have these people no shame? No respect for their country and its flag? Obviously not…

With Obama’s recent appointment of Carol Browner as the new energy czar, we can expect some radical changes in energy policy. Why? Well, she is a long time environmentalist and former head of the EPA under Clinton. Her bio:

Administrator of the United States Environmental Protection Agency under President Bill Clinton. Leading the EPA from 1993 to 2001, she was the longest-serving Administrator in the agency’s history. Browner currently serves on the board of several non-profit organisations, including as chair of the National Audubon Society, one of the nation’s oldest environmental organisations, and as a member of the Board of the Directors of the Center for American Progress, the Alliance for Climate Protection and the League of Conservation Voters.

So now Obama has said that he is going to ban all earmarks from the recovery package he is putting together. He was pressed about it and said it repeatedly:

Question: … Earmarks, you said there will be none that get in there without review. Some people would argue even the so-called bridge to nowhere got review, some level of review …

Obama: No, no, no. What I’m saying is – let me repeat what I said about that … We will ban all earmarks in the recovery package. And I describe earmarks as the process by which individual members insert pet projects without review. So what I’m saying is, we’re not having earmarks in the recovery package, period. I was describing what earmarks are.

Question: So there’s – you’re not suggesting there’s some level of review that might …

Obama: I’m saying there are no earmarks in the recovery package. That, that is the position that I’m taking.

You could split hairs like Ed Morrissey does about whether without review means there will be any earmarks or not. That isn’t the point. All congress will do is take what they were going to put in as earmarks and make it part of the official legislation. With no republicans to hold them back why not?

Besides that, the whole thing is practically an earmark. For the unions anyway. 300+ billion payback for the 300+ million they contributed to campaigns.

If this package weren’t going to hurt so much, it would almost be funny.
