Messing with my stuff

OK, so this post won’t have elaborately thought out essay on the great many topics of our day, but at this particular moment it is at the top of my list.

The other day I came in to work to find an item on my desk broken. Obvisouly some moron in from the overnight cleaning crew broke this item, which happened to be a gift from my wife, and just left it on my desk. This wasn’t knocked over by some duster, this has a little heft to it, so either they were completely oblivious to what they were doing or they picked it up and dropped it. Naturally I was pretty ticked off.

I let it sit for a couple of days and finally decided to up the chain of command here. I notified the office manager of what happened and she thoughtfully tried to actually fix it (which she did ok on) and made a sign to not clean my desk. So what happens? The next day I come in and the sign in layed over with my pencil box on top of it and my candy jar container was sitting on my mouse pad. Both intentionally moved. I was livid.

Two things are going to happen next, first I changed the sign to read “LEAVE THIS DESK ALONE. THIS MEANS YOU.”. Second I’m going to call the company and complain. Probably won’t do anything, but it will make me feel better.

What is worse about the whole thing is that some co-workers have started telling me how things have come up missing, the cleaning crew has thrown late night birthday parties in our breakroom and other such stories. This is ridiculous. Why can’t these minimum wage morons leave things alone that don’t belong to them?

Oh well, we shall see what happens. At least I feel better, and if I offend them by calling them morons, good.
